About

Pianist and singer Susan Innamorato, the founder of Susan’s Music School, has been teaching and performing professionally since she was a teenager, i.e., a long time. Her range of musical styles covers everything from classical to jazz and rock & roll. She is grateful to the teachers who contributed to the musician she is today, including the incredible pianist, Lucille Richardson; the world-renowned pianist, German Diez; and the internationally acclaimed jazz educator and performer, Kenny Werner. Susan holds a Bachelor of Music Education with a vocal concentration and Piano Performance from the State University of New York at Fredonia, NY, and a Master of Science in Education from Shenandoah University, VA.

Having specialized training in the Suzuki method, Susan bases much of her teaching on the principles behind that method, such as listening and developing tone and technique for more relaxed and expressive playing. She also includes a variety of musical styles and approaches so that the student maintains interest and develops a well-rounded musical education. She will take piano students as young as three years old on up through adults. She also accepts students at 12 years old and up for private voice lessons, but encourages younger children to participate in chorus and other fun singing activities.
